The Chorus was established in 2006 and is a non-profit amateur choral group made up of people from all walks of life who love to sing and who live in Warren County, or thereabouts. We sing mostly sacred songs.Some of us cannot read music, some of us can.The mission of The Chorus is to provide programs for spiritual, educational,or inspirational purposes or any and all of the above. These purposes extend not only to our audiences, but to our members as well. We strive to offer a variety of music throughout the year---something for everyone. Feel free to join us for the music that you enjoy! Our Director The Chorus is led by Cindy Rivers. Mrs. Rivers hails from Milledgeville where she was heavily involved in music under the choral direction of Dr. Caroline Carson. Mrs. Rivers was a charter member of the Milledgeville Singers Guild and a member of the First Presbyterian Church Worship Choir. She is also a student of the Sandra Crawford Voice Studio. She and her family have made Warrenton their home for the past four and a half years. Mrs. Rivers sings at community celebrations upon request. She debuted, professionally, as alto soloist for Handel's Messiah at First Baptist Church, Thomson, GA November 26, 2006. Our Pianist Robert Corbitt, from Thomson, Georgia is our performance pianist. Bob is very talented, gently carressing the keys as he beautifully performs Chopin, Bach and other noted composers. We are grateful to him for providing the accompaniment for our performances.
