Hometown Christmas

First Thursday, December 1, 2011 - 10th Annual Hometown Christmas 5-9 p.m. in downtown Warrenton, Georgia.
Step back in time and enjoy the hustle and bustle of Christmas as they did many years ago.
See below for a complete description of these events:
  • 5 p.m. - Garden Club Tree Lighting Ceremony in front of the historic Court House. Afterwards, the Garden Club will head across the street to the Mason's Building and serve up hot grits to warm you up.
  • 6 p.m. - Santa arrives by carriage, and then he heads to his shop on Main Street to greet children until 8 p.m.. A photographer will be on hand to snap that all-important picture with Santa.
Throughout the evening -
  • Warm yourself and Toast some marshmallows at the cauldrons along Main Street,
  • Enjoy a hayride or a carriage ride through the illumined streets and see decorated homes,
  • Visit the Museum of Cultural Heritage at the Depot Welcome Center to see the newest exhibit, "Here Comes the Bride" on display, and
  • Stop by the shops to pick up something for everybody on your shopping list.
  • Have a candlelit supper at Lin's Wok, Side Street Pizzeria or Miss Jane's Restaurant, then
  • Visit the Elves Bakery at Side Street Pizzeria for sweet treats.



It's always the most cherished event in Warrenton, because it's fun for the entire family. Memories in the making...
